Sir, – I regret that Mary Mhic Suibhe’s request for Glenroe to be repeated (Letters, February 9th) may be too late if President Michael D Higgins gets his way on the abolition of homework.
Glenroe’s theme tune was the national clarion call on Sunday evening for all schoolchildren to hurriedly complete their homework for Monday morning. – Yours, etc,
