Sir, – The Government is contemplating convening a fresh citizens’ assembly to deal with issues and policies concerning drugs (“Citizens’ assembly on drug use to be established after Cabinet approval”, News, February 14th). The last time I checked we had a citizens’ assembly. It was last elected onFebruary 8th, 2020. It is known as Dáil Éireann. – Yours, etc,
