Sir, – Simon Kuper’s article “Modern offices are terrible places to get anything done” (Business, April 17th) chimes with my own experience of working in various large open-plan offices. I associate them with some of the most stressful and least productive periods of my working life. Some people flourish in that type of environment, whereas others do their best work in a quieter space, away from distractions. – Yours, etc,
