Sir, – Further to Alison Healy’s Irishwoman’s Diary (“Wilde’s false teeth”, April 17th), as a student in Dublin in the1960s, I attended a dentist, Mr King, in No 1 Merrion Square, the childhood home of Oscar Wilde, and where his mother Speranza also held court. In the light of your fascinating correspondence (April 18th, 19th), surely rather ironic! – Yours, etc,
NOREEN WHELAN,
Carlow.
