Sir, – I write to acknowledge the letter from your correspondent Eileen Bannan (Letters, April 25th) thanking litter volunteers for their hard work throughout the year. It is much appreciated on behalf of all Tidy Towns volunteers.
While I echo her comments, Letterkenny Tidy Towns were pleased to partner with transition year students last week in a litter-pick around the town centre.
The engagement and enthusiasm were exceptional, and we hope to do more work with them in the future as we continue to spread the message around the disposal of litter. – Yours, etc,
ROBERT HOLMES,
