Sir, – Further to recent correspondence (May 15th, 16th), in 2016, the then British ambassador, Sir David Chillcot, visited St Mary’s Home Pembroke Park in Dublin to present one of the residents, Ms Leslie Greer, with the Bletchley Park commemorative badge for her services there during the war. She was also presented with a certificate on behalf of the British government. As the ambassador handed it to her he pointed out that it had been signed by the British prime minister, to which the 98 year old responded, “Not the Queen?” – Yours, etc,
