Sir, – If David Murnane (Letters, May 23rd) relocated to the mild and refreshing climate of Co Cork, he would enjoy his potatoes even earlier. I planted my “Duke of York” in February and have been enjoying the crop for the last two weeks. On their demise, I am relying on “Charlotte” – planted at the same time – to be ready to enjoy. – Yours, etc,
TIM BARRY,
Innishannon,
Co Cork.
