Sir, – Your editorial “The Irish Times view on the EU nature restoration law: a plan worth supporting” (June 19th) says, “The recent Citizens’ Assembly on Biodiversity report demonstrates strong public support for bold transformative policies to tackle the environmental crises”. Since when did the view of 100 hand-picked and unelected people become public opinion? – Yours, etc,
