Sir, – Having recently heard a radio campaign encouraging over-50s to receive the shingles vaccine, I took this advice. However I did not receive a shingle penny change out of €600 which is the cost of this two-dose vaccine.
This is not covered by the HSE so consequently it rules out a very large proportion of this age group availing of this vaccine.
