Sir, – Further to “Inertia is the enemy of saving, but is nudging people a good idea?” (Business, Opinion, July 19th), surely it is the banks that need to be nudged into increasing interest rates on saving accounts. With inflation running at over 7 per cent, and deposit accounts offering as little as 0.1 per cent, how can anyone be expected to save? – Yours, etc,
