A chara, – I support the suggestion from David Sprott (Letters, July 26th) that the Government provide zero-interest loans to allow households to install solar panel micro-generation, one of the most important suggestions that I have read to reduce our national carbon footprint. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that some households could then use the new infrastructure to add wind-power, thus further reducing both our carbon footprint as well as our dependence on imported carbon fuels.
It is also not beyond the realms of possibility that one or more Ministers might get to learn of the suggestion and begin the process of making it happen. – Is mise,
