Sir, – I am old enough to remember the late Michael Gilligan presenting the weather forecast on RTÉ television. Inevitably he summarised the forecast, in that lovely south Donegal accent, with the phrase “sunshine and showers”. Regardless of the season, it was always the same.
Has anything, other than the various colour-coded warnings, changed? – Yours, etc,
