Sir, – Senator Micheál Carrigy’s offer to have his assistant take professional photographs, using a mobile phone, on the set of Fair City, was, indeed, as photographer Beta Bajgart says, “highly insulting” to professional photographers, and those working in the creative industries (News, September 19th).
It was also insulting, I would suggest, to the Senator’s assistant.
If it’s that easy, and since Senator Carrigy assures us that “it won’t cost anything”, why not offer to do the job himself? – Yours, etc,
