Sir, – Further to recent correspondence (Letters, October 12th and 14th), there is enormous reluctance to restrict dogs from beaches in order to ensure clean sand and bathing water.
When we visited the Great Lakes in Canada some years back, we noticed that alternate beaches permitted or banned dogs, so that people could choose the beach they preferred. – Yours, etc,
