Sir, – I can completely empathise with your recent correspondent regarding his observation on trying to inflate car tyres (Letters, November 11th).
I recently had cause to check my own car tyre pressure when a red light warned me to do so. On looking up the car manual I discovered that there were 11 pages in it dealing with car tyre pressure. I still don’t know after reading all the information what the correct pressure should be. My old car was very easy: 28 front, 26 rear. It seems that brevity and clarity are no longer sufficient. –Yours, etc,
