Delivering the goods

Above and beyond

Sir, – Despite the consequences of Storm Debi, my Irish Times was delivered by a driver covered in sawdust. Beginning his rounds, he “threw the chainsaw in the back of his van” and at that point had cut three fallen trees and cleared a path so we’d get the crossword done before lunch. I much doubt his initiative is remunerated or covered in his contract of employment. – Yours, etc,

TOMÁS FINN,

Ballinasloe,

Co Galway.
