Sir, – I noted in the article about the finish area of the Dublin Marathon (Ian O’Riordan, Athletics, November 27th) that Dublin City Council and the National Transport Authority “were demanding the organisers take the finish away from Merrion Square North for next year’s race”.
If the finish is to be moved, as a previous runner, I hope they move it closer to the start.
The last two kilometres nearly killed me this year. – Yours, etc,
