Sir, – I am quite happy to be criticised for what I say or do, but Conor Gallagher’s cheap shot at “death by association” is both incorrect and beneath the dignity of your paper (“‘Building for a long time’: How the global far right jumped Dublin’s anti- immigration riots”, Analysis, News, December 1st).
I have never met or spoken to Keith Woods (aka O’Brien) nor do I have ideological commonality as I’m libertarian.
Conor Gallagher writes that Mr Woods appeared “alongside Irish Freedom Party founder Hermann Kelly, on the podcast of Jenna Ellis”. This is not true.
I wasn’t alongside Mr Woods at all.

I did a separate interview with Jenna Ellis (Donald Trump’s former legal advisor) at a separate time and on a different topic. I spoke about the draconian anti-free speech legislative proposals. That two interviews were played, one after another, on someone else’s podcast is beyond my control. This fact is certainly not beyond the comprehension of your journalist. – Yours, etc,
HERMANN KELLY,
President,
Irish Freedom Party,
