Sir, – I wholeheartedly agree with Sheelagh Coyle on the endless articles and television and radio programmes giving us yet more cooking advice (Letters, November 28th). I once came across a programme which was showing us how to cook mashed potatoes. Next thing they’ll be telling us how to boil water! – Yours, etc,
