Sir, – My wonderful wife, Breege, passed away eight weeks ago.
Afterwards, one of the many exceptional nurses who looked after her in Letterkenny University Hospital during her last days came into the room and asked: “Would you mind if I opened the window to let her soul fly out?”
I shall never forget this beautiful gesture.
Breege always loved to be out and about in the fresh air.
