Sir, – I got such a happy surprise when I read Laura Kennedy’s article (“Stories about Christmas from around the world”, Abroad, December 22nd). Laura, you have been missed.
She writes movingly about the mixed emotions many experience at Christmas time, particularly describing the profound loneliness those both at home and abroad can feel.
