A chara, – I went into my local tax office last Friday to tax my car for 2024, only to be informed by a member of staff that the office is only opened on Tuesdays and Thursdays, closing these days at 3pm. This level of service by a State authority is not acceptable, given that taxing your vehicle is a legal requirement. Imagine the uproar if you could only apply for other State services such as a medical card or for housing supports on certain days. – Yours, etc,
