A chara, – Siobhán McDermott makes a valid point (Letters, January 19th): polling in schools on week days does indeed cause disruption.
But rather than change the venue, another idea would be to simply change the timing to when schools are not being used.
Here in France, as in most mainland European countries, elections and referendums are held on the weekend, on a Sunday.
