Sir, – I read the letter headlined “Eye of the storm - transport options” (January 23rd) with interest.
As I dashed through cold and driving rain to get to the bus stop yesterday, I too thought of Eamon Ryan.
The bus, a regular new service introduced as part of the Ryan-backed Bus Connects programme, arrived on time and cost €2.
Driving through the new bus and cycle lane, the bus passed car after stationary car as it smoothly brought around 50 passengers to work or school.
