Sir, – The Irish Times has reported on the annual conferences of representative bodies of gardaí, teachers and nurses, usually with the respective senior Ministers in attendance.
Many attendees continue to highlight the accommodation crisis for their members.
Before next year’s conferences, it might be informative if the representative bodies were to ask their members, under 30 and working in Dublin, the following questions.
How many persons are you sharing accommodation with and what rent are you paying?
Faye O’Rourke’s Christmas: ‘I have a reputation for overdoing it. I splash out. It’s not in my control’
‘I know what happened in that room’: the full story of the Conor McGregor case
Sally Rooney: When are we going to have the courage to stop the climate crisis?
Ukraine fears nuclear plants are in Russia’s sights as missile strikes bring winter blackouts
What is your commute time to and from work?
Are you consider emigrating or finding a new job?
And for those who have left in the past few years, would they return if they were guaranteed affordable and reasonably located accommodation? – Yours, etc,
PASCHAL TAGGART,
Dublin 6.
