Sir, – Your headline “Are car touchscreens safe? Safety regulator lays down the law” (Motors, May 15th) sits above an article on touchscreens in cars and the opinion of the “independent safety and crash-test expert organisation” Euro NCAP regarding touchscreens.
However, about halfway into the article we are told “It’s important to remember that Euro NCAP is not a regulatory body”.
So it follows that it cannot lay down the law. – Yours, etc,
