Sir, – I’d like to impress on your younger readers the importance of planning, hard work and dedication. Like many during Covid, I took up sea swimming. Sea dipping actually. After all these days, weeks and months, I finally achieved my target of reaching the 100-metre buoy at Blackrock in Salthill, Galway. I was chuffed.
To be fair, the tide was out as I approached it from the shoreline and I walked most of the way but still it’s great to cross something off my bucket list. – Yours, etc,
