Sir, – The polls in the UK have the Reform Party running neck and neck with the Conservatives but, due to the electoral system there, Reform is projected to get possibly five seats with the Tories retaining up to 200. It would be interesting to divide Ireland into 174 single-seat first past the post constituencies and project the possible state of play after the upcoming election.
