A chara, – Can somebody please explain to me why we had local government elections a mere 24 days ago, if the decisions of Dublin City Council are going to be challenged at the last moment by central government? (“Biggest risk to jobs is buses stuck in traffic, Ryan says, rejecting push to delay transport plan”, News, June 30th).

The Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028 was adopted by the elected members of Dublin City Council in November 2022, and the Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area was approved by the Minister for Transport in December 2022.
