A chara, – The photograph which accompanies the article on Irish hospital admissions and hot weather caught my eye (“Irish hospital admissions due to hot weather projected to rise”, News, July 10th).
The photo shows a family enjoying some fine weather as well as some scantily clad individuals sunbathing in what I assume is an Irish park. The grass in the picture is heavily burnt-out which suggests a period of extreme dryness, low water levels and high temperatures.
One must ask, in what year was the photo taken? – Yours, etc,
