Reading the small print

Lather, rinse, repeat

The Irish Times - Letters to the Editor.

Sir,- I refer to the recent correspondence on the difficulty of reading the information on labels (July 12th) and I agree wholeheartedly with the problems encountered. Another bugbear of mine is the difficulty in distinguishing between the shampoo and conditioner when in the shower. The lighting is usually dimmer and since glasses to wear in showers have not been invented yet, it is often impossible to read the words on the bottles. This is made worse by the tendency of some designers to use colours which are not mutually distinct, such as dark yellow on lighter yellow. I know that the bottles often have a slightly different shape, but I usually remember this too late and am well soaped up in the shower before I think to check the bottles! – Yours, etc,

EITHNE O’CALLAGHAN,

Ballsbridge,
