A chara, – Reading the article “Rory Gallagher guitar: Tánaiste to explore possible purchase of Fender Stratocaster for State” (News, July 16th), I wondered had I missed something? Had all the services crying out for funding been visited overnight by the money fairy and had their shortfalls dealt with? Otherwise, buying this guitar would, in my opinion, be a shameful waste of public money! – Yours, etc,
