Sir, – I wonder when RTÉ will stop trying to brainwash its viewers with promotional slogans like “Your public service media” after every single ad break.

I hardly believe that Neighbours, Home and Away, and Spice Girls: How Girl Power Changed Britain represent public service broadcasting.

Somebody should tell the RTÉ marketing department that these repetitive ill-conceived slogans don’t have any traction with the public – quite the reverse. – Yours, etc,
