Air, – I lived in Zimbabwe for a number of years, where the policy was to collect glass bottles at supermarkets and offer a refund per bottle. There was a hatch where bottles were returned and counted, and a credit note given, to be used in the supermarket. No drinks were sold in plastic bottles. Ireland became the first country in the world to ban smoking in public spaces. I would be so proud if Ireland became the first country in Europe to ban plastic bottles and return to glass. – Yours, etc,
