Sir, – Building work will soon start on the Cambridge Children’s Hospital, incorporating world-leading university research departments.

Built on a greenfield site, beside a maternity hospital, it will cost £409 million (€485 million) and open in 2028.

When will our ill-starred national children’s hospital be finished? – Yours, etc,
