Supporting local brews

The Irish Times - Letters to the Editor.

Sir, – Kudos to Ronan McGreevy for his insightful article on the challenges confronting Irish craft brewers (“How Irish microbreweries are fighting back against the industry’s biggest players”, News, August 30th). Irish craft beers are crafted with distinctive, locally sourced ingredients that capture the unique character and culture of the region.

Supporting these local brews not only strengthens the economy by empowering small businesses but also offers consumers a genuine, handcrafted alternative to homogenised global brands. By prioritising quality over quantity, Irish craft beers represent the very best of what Ireland has to offer. – Yours, etc,

ENDA CULLEN,

Armagh.
