A chara, – I’ve just been quoted €1,400 to replace my car headlamp, which has a cracked front plastic lens.

To put this figure into perspective, this equates to 100 hours of pay at minimum wage, or, alternatively, 20 tanks of diesel. I now understand why the German motor industry is so eager to tax the import of competitively priced Chinese motors, and parts. – Is mise,
