Sir, – Concerning the coronavirus pandemic, United Nations secretary general António Guterres criticises governments for prioritising “the protection of their own citizens to the point of fierce competition” for life-saving medical resources (“Global South keen to secure pledge from UN summit to address debt and development”, World, September 20th).
