Sir, – As the Dart celebrates 40 years, this week marks 10 years of my Dart commute to work. In those years, I have read hundreds of books and thousands of messages. I have met old friends and overheard conversations in many languages. I have helped with medical and personal emergencies, and seen two crossing strikes. A friendly driver coming south from Howth has returned a bag I left on the northbound train.
Since the timetable change, I never know when the next train is coming, but it is always welcome when it does. – Yours, etc,
