Sir, – If three or four of the small progressive parties banded together to act as one, selected only one or two of their candidates to compete in the Dáil election in each constituency, and agreed to act as a single consortium after the election, they could surely become the third partner in a coalition, and guarantee a progressive voice in that coalition.
Is there any realistic possibility that they care enough about their basically similar policies to take this step to make sure that they are participants in the next government? – Yours, etc,
