Sir, – Laura Kennedy’s article is one of the most beautiful pieces of writing I have ever read (“Like many two-year-olds, my nephew hates socks and loves blueberries. He’s also unlike other little boys”, Life, November 10th). It is at once funny and yet heartbreakingly sad, and the social commentary is so trenchant and necessary.
Yet another great Limerick writer!
