Sir, – Driving to work around the midpoint of Storm Bert offered an insight, through their election posters, into the stances of our election candidates when the prevailing wind changes. Overnight many seemed to have moved from the fringes to centrist, or middle-of-the-road positions, with some flapping about senselessly. In some ways, from their initial diverse perspectives, and with more a day left to run the storm seems to have already drawn many of them closer together.
