Sir, – With all counts completed, please spare a thought and send a thanks to the “hoister-uppers”, those gallant men who have the job of lifting the winning candidates into the air, bouncing them up and down while maintaining a cheery disposition and leading the obligatory chorus of “woo-hoos”.
