Sir, – Since 40 per cent of the electorate didn’t see the point in voting in the election, and still no sign of a solution to the housing crisis, we could increase voter participation, and introducing the exciting element of chance, by entering every voter into a draw, with the lucky winner drawn in every constituency winning a house? At least we’d be sure of having at least 43 houses built that year – with the added bonus of getting out the youth vote. Of course we’d have to write our names on the ballot paper instead of the usual slogans and insults. – Yours, etc,
