Sir, - Waiting for the 14A bus of an evening in Kildare Street provides ample time for mental diversion. I've long been infuriated by the frequency with which the 46As, the 10s and the 11s in turn pass up the street (a) practically empty, and (b) in packs of two or three. May I make a civic proposal that, for the future, the first bus in each such convoy should be arranged to tow its accompanying comrade(s), thereby lowering valuable fuel consumption, and also reducing pollution in the city? - Yours, etc.,
