Madam, - With the current debate on the Spire, have we forgotten about the other recent additions to the city?

Our Millennium Bridge seems to be serving as a metaphorical divide between North and South due to its neglect. For the past six months all the lights illuminating the walkway on the southern half of the bridge have been shining brightly while the entire northern side remains sunken in darkness.

In an age when we are supposedly moving forward beyond such divisions, surely the iconic monument we built to celebrate this could at least be kept in a state of repair that would not highlight it? - Yours, etc.,
