Sir, – Before my first trip to France last weekend I had always wondered what people meant when they said the French have a certain " je ne sais quoi".
I can now rule out planning/foresight, ability to read the weather and its implications and any level of respect for those who travelled to the banks of the Seine in Paris last Saturday. My pondering continues. – Yours, etc,
