A LIMERICK WELCOME

Sir, - I am writing this letter to share with you and your readers the wonderful time my wife and I had in Limerick

Sir, - I am writing this letter to share with you and your readers the wonderful time my wife and I had in Limerick. My wife recently returned from working there for eight weeks, and I was fortunate enough to be able to spend some of this time in Limerick as well.

On her very first day there she hurt her ankle and had to be taken to hospital. The concern everyone had for her and the care she received was a small example of the way she and we were to be treated every day with everything we did. Whether it was chatting with someone in a store, good conversation in a pub, or simply meeting people on the street we were made to feel at home and treated so well. It is a feeling that is hard to express in words, and we were genuinely moved by all this. I have never felt so close to an area other than my own home.

There have been many others who have visited this special corner of Ireland, and they all have similar stories of the bond they feel with Limerick. I want to thank the people of Limerick for making this so special for us, and for so many others.

The weather was exceptional with many warm sunny days; but the true beauty of Limerick is in the warmth, cheerfulness and sincerity of the people which makes that beautiful city and county sunny every day. All in all this trip made us even more proud of being of Irish descent (third generation); we were made to feel like family, and we can't wait for our next visit. I also look forward each day to reading your newspaper over the Internet. - Yours, etc.,
