Sir, - I too was also alarmed to read that RTE was considering turning Lyric into a background classical music station. I agree with John W. Miley (May 10th). When I first heard Lyric I was delighted, and glad to know that at last RTE recognised that there were people who appreciated good music.
The information on composers and performers given by the excellent presenters and the "Wild Life" feature and "Quiet Corner" are also most enjoyable.
Please, don't change Lyric one little bit. It could not be better. - Yours, etc.,
