Sir, – While the Irish "haitch" seems to be making great headway into the heartlands of England (April 9th), there seems to be little awareness of a counter-invasion of ridiculously intrusive "haitches" in the broadcast media here. Unless, that is, there have been new offices of state called "thaoiseach" and "thánaiste" created while I wasn't looking. – Yours, etc,
